Female Fives

Female Fives is a new competition which has been introduced by the RNFA with financial support from the FA Small Sided Football Development Fund. The competition will take place in both Portsmouth and Plymouth and is open to both civilian and military teams. However, priority is given to female teams and personnel of the Royal Navy.

Female Fives has been initiated as a result of previous Women’s Football Week events held between the Royal Navy FA, University of Portsmouth and Hampshire FA. From this event it was clear that there was an appetite for regular small sided competitions in the Portsmouth area. To support Royal Navy teams in the Western Region a similar partnership has been set up in Plymouth with Devon FA to run a replica project.

Female Fives looks to cater for teams who cannot field an 11-a-side team or compete in a traditional small sided weekly league due to operational or other commitments. It offers monthly tournaments at Goals Soccer Centre in both Portsmouth and Plymouth where teams enter and compete in a round robin tournament with Power Points on offer. The team with the most Power Points after all dates will decided the winners of the competition and each member will receive a £20 'Love to Shop' voucher. Players will also receive a free t-shirt if they attend 4 of the 5 dates in their region.

The results and reports for the 2016/17 season can be found by clicking on the dates once promulgated.
