New U23 Development Manager

The Royal Navy Football Association are delighted to announce the appointment of Lt Stuart Morgan RVM RM as the new RN U23 Development Team Manager.

Stu is very experienced within Service football representing the RM, RN and UKAF throughout his 18-year career in military football. Stu has turned to coaching after retiring from playing; he has a flair for developing others within the game.

Stu replaces Lt Cdr Chris James who led the U23s to success at the Inter Service Championships last year before stepping up to the Senior Team Manager’s role. Chris and Stu will work closely together to ensure they  continue to forge a pathway for the younger members of the RN to create opportunity to represent the Senior Team.

On being appointed Stu commented,

“After a very successful military football career with the RN and RM especially, it is an absolute privilege to accept this appointment. Having worn the RN shirt from U18 through to the Senior Team on many occasions, I understand the values, ethos and pride that it brings. I have a love for the game and want to use my experience and flair for coaching to entertain all that come to watch and support this U23/Development side; by bringing high energy, fast flowing and attacking football. I would like to thank Chris for the fantastic work he has done up to this point and I look forward to working with him and wish him all the very best for the Senior Team challenge heading into the new season.

My coaching team and I, are very eager to get going and will be looking forward to getting the squad together in the very near future to start the work on this exciting journey ahead.”
