Notice of Approach

Any player, whilst serving in any branch of Her Majesty's Regular Forces, wishing to play for a civilian club must inform that club that they are required to take action in accordance with FA Rules Section C2(c) and complete a Notice of Approach.

Service Players are reminded:

A player, whilst serving in any branch of Her Majesty's Regular Forces, may not hold a contract of employment with any club under the jurisdiction of the Association or an affiliated association.

Neither a club, nor any person, shall attempt to induce any player of a club, of any branch of Her Majesty's Regular Forces, to play for another club during the current season without at least fourteen days notice to the releveant Secretary of their HM Forces Association. For the RNFA, notices should be forwarded using the RNFA Notice of Approach Form, and application should inlcude a stamped address envelope for the Secretary of the Club.

Renewal of Approach
A Notice of Approach is required for each season regardless of whether or not it has been made before.

Record of Players Approach
The names of players approached by Civilian Clubs are registered by the RNFA.
