Basic Referee Course

The Basic Referees Course is the first step on the refereeing ladder and provides candidates with the basic knowledge required to referee football matches.

As well as attending the course candidates are required to successfully pass examinations, attend a safeguarding children workshop and complete a CRC.

Once you have completed the Basic Referees Course and successfully passed the exams you are required to complete a minimum of 6 matches as a referee during your probationary period. At this time you will be classified as a Level 9 - Trainee Referee.

Should you require any additional information then please do not hesitate to contact Michael 'Barney' Barnett.
